Can I give Hamsters small amounts of rabbit pellets?

I may be getting a pair of Campbell’s Russian Dwarf Hamsters, (see my other question about CRD’s in a Crittertrail 2) Anyway, I am going to feed them lab blocks with TONS of fresh food for balance and variety, I was wondering if I could feed them rabbit or guinea pig alfalfa pellets for like roughage instead of hay because in the past I’ve always had hamsters sleep in the hay rather than use it for roughage. I’m just wondering if it would be okay, If it isn’t don’t be mean to me, I won’t do it if it isn’t.
Oh, no, lol, I don’t mean I will feed the hamster ONLY rabbit food, I just meant to use it like a suppliment, like how rabbit’s need timothy hay in addition to their regular food. I know there is a huge difference between rabbits and hamsters, lol, sorry about the question misunderstanding. I was going to give it as a suppliiment 2x a week.

What should I feed these newborn baby bunnies?

My dog dug up a rabbits nest, and killed the mother. We had to bring the babies in before they got hurt too. We have cows milk, and condensed sweetened milk. Are either of those okay to feed them? My parents didnt want to go out and buy anything.

Is it normal for a rabbit’s back paw to have a nail that sticks out the side?

My rabbit’s back paws each have a nail that sticks out the side - it kinda looks slightly twisted. Is that right? I have two rabbits (they are sisters) and they both have the twisted claw (sounds kinda evil I know!). They are both lionheads. Am I supposed to cut this claw when trimming their nails?

What is your favorite rodent?

Any rodent at all. Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rat, gerbils, anything! And tell me why, please. Right now, I’d have to say my favorite rodent is a tie between rats and hamster. But I have a hammy right now and I love her to death!

Legit- How many pets do you have, whats their names, breed, etc?

Thanks a lot! Mucho appreciated. :)

Genetic story problems help? Sorry if it’s too long. Tell me what the punnett square would look like too?

***Telling me the Genotypes for both Dominant and Recessive would be greatly appreciated.

1. Consider blue eyes in men as recessive to brown eyes. Show the expected children of a marriage between a blue-eyed woman to a brown-eyed man who had a blue-eyed mother. What would be the phenotypes of the children be?

2. Assume that white guinea pigs is recessive to black guinea pigs. If a white guinea pig mates with a pure white guinea pig, what will be the color of the offspring?

3. Tongue-rolling in humans is dominant. If two heterozygous tongue-rollers have children, what will be the possible phenotypes of their children?

4. In rabbits, long ears are dominant over short ears. What would happen if a pure-long eared rabbit reproduces with pure short-eared rabbit? If two children from these offspring mate can they have short-ear rabbits?

5. In dogs, short hair is dominant to long hair, what would the father’s genotype have to be if the mother is long haired and they have a short haired puppy? What percent of the offspring would be hybrids?

6. In dogs, wire hair is dominant to smooth. In cross of homozygous wire haired dog with a smooth wire hair, what will be the phenotype of the first generation?

7. In dogs, there is a hereditary deafness caused by a recessive gene, “d”. A kennel owner has a make dog that she wants to use for breeding purposes if possible. The dog can hear, so the owner knows his genotype is either DD or Dd. If the dog’s genotype is Dd, the owner does not wish to use him for breeding because he does not want the trait for breeding passed on. This can be tested b breeding the dog with a deaf female (dd). One of the puppies from that breed was deaf. What has to be the genotype of the father?

***Thank you for answering my questions***

Do Guinea pigs make good apartment pets?

me and my fiancee want an apartment pet (we have tons of experience with pets at our parents homes we grew up with/still have there 7 cats (all strays 3 hand reared by me and my fiancee because they were found at just a few days old), 4 dogs, rabbits, hamsters and fish. we are in our own place (have been for 3years) but we cant stand not having pets any longer we love animals and we feel a house isnt a home without one. we cant get a cat right now (thats what we would really want) but ive been doing a lot of research on guinea pigs (i always do tons of research before getting a new pet) but now i want to hear from owners. do they really make good apartment pets? do they really curl up on your lap for a while? do they poo everywhere? (ive heard they are quite good at giving signs that they want to go back to their cage to pee/poo) do they bite through wires like hamsters do (i could never leave my hamster for a second or he’d be half way through a wire) i want a pet that does not do this (as much, a little can be expected)
thanks

We want to bring it with us to be good luck (lucky rabbits ears, duh) so what should we do? Thanks for your help!
