I got her from a pet store but i got her before they put her out in the store with all of the other guinea pigs. I just think that she gets lonely a lot. She’s pretty calm and very friendly to me and other people. Does anyone know if it’s too late to get another one to put in the same cage?

I may be getting a pair of Campbell’s Russian Dwarf Hamsters, (see my other question about CRD’s in a Crittertrail 2) Anyway, I am going to feed them lab blocks with TONS of fresh food for balance and variety, I was wondering if I could feed them rabbit or guinea pig alfalfa pellets for like roughage instead of hay because in the past I’ve always had hamsters sleep in the hay rather than use it for roughage. I’m just wondering if it would be okay, If it isn’t don’t be mean to me, I won’t do it if it isn’t.
Oh, no, lol, I don’t mean I will feed the hamster ONLY rabbit food, I just meant to use it like a suppliment, like how rabbit’s need timothy hay in addition to their regular food. I know there is a huge difference between rabbits and hamsters, lol, sorry about the question misunderstanding. I was going to give it as a suppliiment 2x a week.

Hi my parents eventually let my have a hamster in september and i adore him. We also have 7 cavalier king charles spaniels but they are really my parents. Anyway I would really love a guinea pig… I dont want to get one till my hamster is at least 1 as I want to spend more time with him on his own. So how do I persuade them and can you give me an idiots guide to looking after guinea pigs. I want he/she to live in my bedroom but Im not sure what cage to get or what to feed it.
Please help, Thankyou

i purchased a pregnant guinea pig accidentaly, and she had 6 beautiful babies 2 weeks ago. I was going to seperate them at 4 weeks, but have heard i need to seperate them at 3 weeks. But, i think that babies have to have mums milk until 4 weeks of age. Which opinion is right?

I’m a huge flirt and was planning on doing my class presentation on it.
I will pull a cute guy up to the front of the class as my guinea pig.
nobody knows what my presentation topic is
but I’ll start by flirting with him:
“If I told you, that you had a great body, would you hold it against me? You’re so hot you make the sun sweat…(fans self) or even worse, (takes a step closer to the guy) I’ve lost my phone number – can I have yours? I’m not drunk or anything (takes another step forward), I’m just intoxicated by you.
Really, if I were a stop light, I’d turn red every time you passed by, just so I could stare at you a bit longer. So…how about that phone number? (holds out phone)”
This is in a college class.
Yes or no?
im talking about my intro. is that good?
1) i am not afraid of people’s viewpoints.
2) Last speech I gave was on hot boys.

I have to guinea pigs and they never like to be held or taken out of their cage. When I [or anyone] try to pick them up they squeal and kick away. I try to always feed them at the same time everyday and give them treats. They dont seem to like to be held. I was wondering if i could change that or maybe if I am holding them wrong.

I just got a Guinea Pig(June 5th- Friday), and its the first one I’ve ever had. I’m just 13 years old, so I mess up a lot, and I don’t want to put the little critter in any risk of danger. I’m not truly scared of anything, except for maybe.. Making him sick. I know to wash before handling, and changing his water everyday, and I give him the Vitamin C drops he needs, and I know to clean his cage once a week(right?) or whoeverer it looks really nasty. I have hay, a little log he can go into(also what he chews on) I have the right bedding, and the right food, and I feed him veggies once every other day. Is there anything I might be missing in all of this? Or something I may not be doing right? Oh, and, is it normal for a new Guinea Pig to not be drinking his water, because today(when I got him) he didn’t touch it, or really seem to think it was there except for maybe one time, and that’s when I tried to get him to get a drink. Is that normal because I just got him, or is that bad? Because I know the Piggies don’t produce their own Vitamin C.. And I made commitment to taking care of him myself.
Any help? I’ll greatly appreciatete it, all.

If in Guinea Pigs, black fur is dominant. If a black guinea pig is crossed with a white guinea pig and the little contains a white offspring, the genotype of the black-haired parent is probably:
a) homozygous dominant
b) homozygous recessive
c) pure for the trait
d) heterozygous dominant
I was pretty sure it was “b”, but I just wanted to be 100% certain on it, so if you know, help me out please l:D, lol, thanks.
wait! DOes it change it. there’s a typo in there where I put “little” I meant to put “litter”
